Tom is the driving force behind Worms Downunder’s operations, bringing a true passion for regenerative farming and soil microbiology to the family business. His connection to the land was cultivated during time spent on his grandparents' sheep station as a young child. After a seven-year career as an electrician, he joined Worms Downunder, where he now oversees the production of high-quality worm castings and leads innovative brewing and manufacturing processes.
With a relentless curiosity, Tom embraces his inner “mad scientist,” constantly experimenting with new brewing techniques and developing proprietary recipes to enhance WDU’s Worm Brew products. His expertise is backed by training in nutrition farming and soil microbiology courses, ensuring he stays at the forefront of all types of farming techniques, whether it be regenerative or conventional agriculture. Each month, Tom engages with hundreds of farmers, sharing knowledge on soil types and application methods to deliver optimal results for customers - if you've ever given us a call, you've likely had a chat with Tom. His fresh perspective and dedication to innovation ensures that WDU is always providing the best service we can to our clients.
