Worm Brew is a concentrated, living liquid soil amendment brewed from high-quality worm cast using our proprietary microbe-extraction process. Shelf-stable for 3 months, weed-seed-free, and DNA-tested, it’s loaded with diverse aerobic microbes with exceptionally high disease-suppressive markers. What's in it?
DNA testing determined exceptional bacterial and fungal diversity, with high levels of disease-fighting microbes. How It Works
Microbes are the delivery system for nutrients. The microbes in Worm Brew enable essential biological processes to occur:
- Mineralisation: Turns locked-up minerals into plant-available forms.
- Nitrogen Fixation: Traps atmospheric N₂ and converts it to ammonium (NH₄⁺) for plants.
- Phosphorus Unlocking: Solubilises insoluble P into phosphates (PO₄³⁻) via organic acids, boosting root uptake.
- Organic Breakdown: Decomposes residues into humus, enriching soil and improving water retention.
- Soil Structure: Microbial exudates bind soil into stable aggregates - better aeration, drainage, and root growth.
Supercharge Worm Brew with Nutrition
We recommend combining Worm Brew with lower rates of your nutrition applications - Fish, Kelps, urea, MAP, DAP, or Super. It's like sending the microbes out with a 'packed lunch' - this combination enhances the microbes’ ability to deliver nutrients efficiently, cutting the amount of nutrition needed while increasing your return on investment. Important: Mix just before application - microbes multiply fast with nutrients, using up dissolved oxygen that keeps them dormant.
When to Apply:
- Target Key Stages: Apply microbes with nutrition at planting as a seed dressing to support early root growth, then again at the two-leaf stage to boost nutrient uptake.
