Shipping Methods
We offer the following shipping options:
- 20L Shipping: 2-5 business days within Australia.
- 1000L Shipping is sent Express: 3-5 business days within Australia (Could be longer in remote areas)
- Worm Mod Shipping: 2-5 business days within Australia (Could be longer in remote areas)
All shipments are handled by Australia Post or other trusted carriers.

- 1000L: Custom freight quote provided
- Worm Mod: Custom freight quote provided
Order Processing
Worm Mod orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days once payment has been received. Worm Brew orders are brewed to order. Typically 1-3 business days once payment has been received.
Delivery times may vary based on location, weather conditions, and carrier schedules. During peak periods (e.g., holidays), delays may occur.
Geographic Coverage
We ship nationwide within Australia. Unfortunately, we cannot ship live worms to Tasmania or WA due to biosecurity regulations. Check with us if you’re unsure about your location. Some remote areas are 'Unserviced Remote Area' and can only be delivered to the nearest larger town.
Packaging
Live worms and related products are carefully packaged in breathable, secure containers with insulation to protect them during transit, especially in extreme temperatures. We monitor weather conditions to ensure safe delivery.
Tracking
All orders include tracking information, which will be emailed to you once your order is shipped. You can use this to monitor your package’s progress.
Returns and Refunds for Shipping Issues
If your order is delayed, damaged, or lost, please contact us within 24 hours of expected delivery at admins@wormsdownunder.com. For live worms, if they arrive in poor condition, we require photo evidence within 8 hours of receiving the worms and will arrange a replacement or refund. Concerns lodged after the 8 hours will not be refunded or replaced. Shipping costs for returns are non-refundable unless the error was on our part.
Live Product Care
Live worms are perishable and sensitive to temperature. We ship only when conditions are safe, but customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the package. We will provide you with tracking information. If worms are left in hot or cold conditions for too long, their health may be affected. They should be homed into the worm farm immediately on receiving them. Contact us immediately if you have concerns upon arrival.
