For 28 years, Brett and his family have owned and developed Uncle Bob’s Bakery, a successful organisation that supplies premium wholesale products to restaurants and cafes throughout Queensland. In addition to their wholesale business, they operate four retail bakery and cafe outlets of their own. The family also manages a property west of Brisbane where they breed grass-fed cattle, providing premium beef for their kitchens. Committed to using only the highest quality and ethically farmed ingredients, Brett oversees a "Paddock to Plate" operation that incorporates regenerative farming principles.
Brett purchased 1,000 litres of Worm Brew from us, and the benefits he observed inspired him to take worm cast production and brewing into his own hands. To achieve this, he acquired a Worm Mod, which processes organic waste from the bakery and restaurants into microbe-rich worm castings. He then brews these castings into a worm juice, which he applies as a foliar application to his pastures.
The most noticeable, visible difference being in the soil structure surrounding a dam on the property. The dam clarity was initially very poor with higher levels of top-soil run off.
Through applications of Brett's Worm Juice brewed on farm, dam clarity has significantly improved with visible difference in foliage surrounding the dam.
“After a couple of months we can confidently say it is going very well. The fact that is is rodent proof (in the food industry this is essential for food safety standards), the worms are happily munching through waste that we never even thought they would (cardboard, ground up egg shells that we produce 600+ per week etc). It is also easy to manage” - Brett
