Worm Farm Assembly Guides

How to Add Extra Modules to your Worm Mod

This comprehensive guide outlines the precise steps to connect a new worm farm unit to your existing system. Following these instructions ensures proper alignment and secure connection, effectively expanding your worm farming capacity.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Introduction

This step-by-step guide shows you how to assemble a new worm farm unit onto your existing setup. This process ensures that your worm farms are aligned and securely connected, increasing your worm farms bedding size.

Materials Needed

  • Four Joining Rods: These will connect the two worm farms.
  • M6 Allen Key: (Ideally 2) Required for tightening the joining rods.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Remove Panel

  1. Use a Phillips Heads bit in an impact driver to remove the screws on one of the side panels (the side you wish to attach the new worm farm unit to). Set this panel to the side - you will reassemble this panel onto the side of the new worm farm.

Step 2: Prepare Your Workspace

  1. Position the Worm Farms: Start by placing your new worm farm close to the existing one. If you're on uneven ground, this might require some adjustments.
  2. Level the Ground: Use the adjustable feet on the worm farms to ensure both units are level. This is crucial for a stable connection.

Step 3: Align the Worm Farms

  1. Shuffle the Farms Together: Move the new worm farm as close to the existing one as possible. Adjust from both the front and the back to ensure they are aligned.

Step 3: Connect the Worm Farms

  1. Insert the Joining Rods: Begin with the front top section. Insert the joining rods through the holes provided.
  2. Secure with the Collared Nuts: On one side, use the nut to secure the rods. Remember to keep everything loose at this stage.

Step 4: Tighten the Connections

  1. Work in a Cross Pattern: After the front top, move to the back bottom (on the leg). Insert the bolt through the provided hole and secure it with a collared nut.
  2. Finger Tighten First: Ensure all connections are finger-tight before making any final adjustments.

Step 5: Final Adjustments

  1. Check Alignment: Ensure the lid and frame of the worm farm align properly. If not, adjust the feet accordingly by unscrewing or screwing the foot to lift or lower the worm farm.
  2. Tighten All Connections: Once the lid is aligned with the frame, use the M6 Allen key to tighten all connections securely.

Step 6: Final Check

  1. Ensure Stability: Double-check that the worm farms are stable, and the lids align.
  2. Complete Tightening: Go through each connection with the Allen key one last time to ensure everything is tight and secure.
